The engine turns and therefore is not ceased. Beyond that I have not made any attempts to make it run. The gent who gave it to me said it hadn't been used for a few years. It seems in reasonable condition given its age (Google tells me it's likely to be an early 80's mower) and if I had the inclination I'd be confident of getting it going.
