Can you help Freegle?

The last year has been hard on everyone. We miss our families, we miss our friends, and we miss going out and having a bit of fun. We hope that Freegle has not only given people a way to get rid of stuff they no longer need but has been a way to talk to other people outside of their homes and make new friends as well.

Our members have been extremely generous over the years. Many people have filled their homes with things they couldn't otherwise afford. We would like to be here for many more years, but times are tough. Freegle, just like many other charities and organisations during this pandemic, is struggling for funds. Most of the work is done free by hundreds of volunteers, even our directors work for free, but we do have some unavoidable costs. Servers and IT costs, are our most expensive things to fund and we are fast running out of cash.

We know people are struggling to get by right now and we do understand that not everyone is in a position to help us with donations, however we have no choice but to go cap in hand and appeal to our members to help us by giving a small donation if you can. Right now Freegle is needed more than ever as lots of people have found themselves unemployed or on furlough and so are unable to fund the things they need for everyday life, clothes shoes, baby equipment and more. Essentials that kind Freeglers can, and do help with. If you can help us to help them, and keep Freegle going by making a small donation, we would really appreciate every penny.

Our Chairman Edward has made a video, he isn't comfortable with doing that, but times are tough and we need help.

Here's where to donate if you can

Thank you to anyone who can help us and to all those who have donated in the past. Freegle could not exist without you.

Freegle is registered as a charity with HMRC (ref. XT32865) and is run by volunteers. Which is nice.
